Luce Zurita is a French London-based flautist. She completed her Masters degree at the Royal College of Music in London studying with Susan Milan, and previously at the Conservatoire of Rouen.
A finalist of the Croydon Concerto Competition 2013, she was awarded the Charles Sampson “Young Soloist” award and the Jellinek Prize and has performed with various orchestras as a soloist, notably in Cambridge West Road Concert Hall. In 2016, she won 2nd prize at the Concours des Jeunes Talents Normands (Young Norman Talents Competition) leading to a concerto performance with the Orchestre Régional de Normandie next season.
As an orchestral player, Luce has played under the baton of Vladimir Ashkenazy and Bernard Haitink and was invited to Buckingham Palace for HRH Prince Charles’ birthday as principal flute of the RCM Chamber Orchestra. A keen chamber musician, she performed in Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room, Kings Place, the Houses of Parliament, V&A Museum, the National Gallery with the Globe and Giverny Ensembles.
A keen advocate of new music, she records film music and works alongside composers, premiering numerous works. One of these was broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

Luce holds a Master-degree in French and Comparative Literature from Paris-IV-Sorbonne university after having followed a 2-year Hypokhâgne and Khâgne course. Alongside performing activities, she is now a writer for the Opera of Rouen Normandie, a lecturer and a musicology researcher.

Luce a joué sous la direction de Bernard Haitink et de Vladimir Ashkenazy et a été invitée à Buckingham Palace avec le RCM Chamber Orchestra pour l'anniversaire du Prince Charles.
En musique de chambre, elle fait partie du Globe Ensemble (flûte, alto et harpe) et de l'Ensemble Giverny (flûte, piano) et a pu jouer dans des salles londoniennes aussi prestigieuses que Royal Albert Hall's Elgar Room, V&A Museum, National Gallery, Kings Place, the Houses of Parliament...
Défendant la création contemporaine, Luce a travaillé auprès de nombreux compositeurs dont elle a créé les pièces, certaines lui étant dédiées. Elle enregistre également pour des compositeurs de musiques de film. L'un de ces enregistrements a été diffusé sur BBC Radio 3.
Elle a été soutenue par Leverhulme Postgraduate Studentship, Lee Abbey London, et le Rotary International Club.
Luce est également diplômée d'un Master de Littératures française et comparées de l'Université Paris-IV-Sorbonne, après deux ans de classes préparatoires (Hypokhâgne et Khâgne). En parallèle de son activité d'interprète, Luce est désormais rédactrice pour l'Opéra de Rouen Normandie, conférencière et chercheuse en musicologie.
